Mystery

In these stories, something strange happens to a normal kid. 


It might be an unusual object, a peculiar creature or even a portal to another world! 


Normally, it starts well, but soon goes wrong and the main character has to try and sort things out!


Often, what happens to the main character is linked to a flaw in their personality.


A few useful Mystery tips:


Use repetition to build excitement or drama: the more, the more; closer and closer.


Use rhetorical questions to show curiosity or surprise: Who were they? What did they want?


Use short sentences for dramatic or exciting parts: She ran. They had gone!
