Prison

Jessie carefully snuck out of the grate . She glanced around like a meerkat and then dashed down the hall. As she slinked down the shadows, she came to the cell that she was looking for.
A guard was fast asleep on a chair. One thing she didn’t spot was the sinister silhouette of a dog. She checked that no-one was looking and, as quick as a flash, she seized the key. She was a waft of darkness as the lock clicked and the cell door creaked open.
She leaped over to the bed where her mate Tommy was waking up. “Jessie,” he whispered. “Are you ready?”
“You bet.” she replied quietly and unlocked him. Then, they slunk away into the shadows.
Accidentally, Tommy knocked over a fragile china mug. Luckily, it didn't break. But, instead something even worse happened. Jessie turned around. “Tommy, we agreed you’d be careful!” Jessie reminded him. An eye twitched. They had woken up a guard dog!
Ferociously, the guard dog snarled as it awakened. “Run Tommy!” yelled Jessie. They pelted for the exit as fast as they could but the dog was catching up. On their last jump, they made it to the hatch.
In the background, the guard was yelling for them to stop running. Jessie started to descend down the grate. “Ready to go?” she asked Tommy.
“I’m as ready as ever.” he replied. But as Tommy neared the hatch, the dog closed in…
